College Council Committee

The Kerala University of Health Sciences (KUHS) mandates every affiliated nursing college to have a college council.  The council acts as an advisory body to the principal on various internal College matters, with a specific focus on academics.

The college Council will meet regularly to discuss and take action on various issues related to the internal affairs of the college, preferably twice in a year. The council is chaired by the Principal and includes all HOD’s, representatives from faculty, PTA, administrative staff and students.  The council meetings are held at least twice a year, with decisions taken by a majority vote.  The secretary will schedule the meetings by preparing the agenda.

The college council plays a significant role in shaping the academic environment, fostering communication and collaboration to ensure the smooth functioning of the college.  By establishing a clear framework for the college Council’s involvement in academic affairs, the college can ensure high-quality nursing education that prepares students for successful careers.
